Alicia Montaño is Dine from Tsaile, AZ  on the Navajo Reservation in Northeast Arizona but currently resides in Flagstaff, AZ.

Montaño is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a Certificate in Human Resource Management.

Montaño is Sales Representative for Nestlé, USA. She is also a volunteer for the Big Brother Big Sister Organization in Flagstaff. Montaño is a member of the Reading is Empowering Book Project; an organization that aims to promote reading readiness and literacy skills among Native American children in and around the Navajo Nation. Books are distributed to children and parents during Family Literacy events and various other book drives.
